Patrick Lawrence passed away after battling motor neurone disease for 4 years. Patrick was born in Epsom, Surrey on November 01, 1941, but grew up and spent his early years in Folkestone. He was a Policeman in the area before embarking on a career in the Sea Scouts which took him to the Pacific island nation of Kiribati. Here he met his Wife of 43 years Philomena. After 18 years abroad Patrick and Philomena returned to Folkestone with their children and successfully ran 3 newsagents, including in Hawkinge. He is very much loved and missed by his wife, 6 children and 7 grandchildren.
